White paper: Accelerating Innovation in Performing Arts
This white paper outlines the process and outcomes of the XR Network+ Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) Research and Development (R&D) Challenge. It also explores the additional, critical value provided by the XR Stories team at the University of York, who lead the XR Network+ project and act as an expert intermediary and connection point between all key project stakeholders as part of a managed innovation process. Commencing in 2024, the R&D Challenge provided an opportunity for academic-led projects to apply for funding to deliver innovative R&D projects to tackle an industry-led challenge co-designed by XR Network+ and the RSC.
