XR Network+ roadshow: University of Nottingham VIP Studio

Join the XR Network+ team at an event for researchers, creatives and organisations working in virtual production (VP) technologies at the University of Nottingham’s Virtual and Immersive Production Studio.

Find out about the XR Network+ project, tour the VIP studio, discover some of the innovative ways that people are using XR technologies to engage with issues of accessibility, and participate in discussions to inform XR Network+ research that is setting a roadmap for UK-wide research, development and innovation in VP technologies.

The roadshow starts at 2pm with lunch and networking from 1:15pm.

Roadshow attendees can also register to attend a 45 minute AI Lens workshop taking place before the roadshow event at 12:15pm.

AI Lens is a novel AI-powered camera system that applies live generative transformations to video in real time. This tool was developed by filmmakers for filmmakers at the VIP Studio and funded by the University of Nottingham-led Somabotics project. These workshops, delivered by the AI Lens project team, will include demonstrations of films shot using the AI Lens tool as well as the opportunity to see the tool in action.

The Virtual and Immersive Production Studio, based at University of Nottingham’s King’s Meadow campus, is an innovation and research driven production studio, supporting a range of researchers, artists, SMEs, creatives and community groups to develop unique immersive experiences using cutting edge technologies.
